Student Counselling Centre

The Student Counselling Centre offers same-day, brief crisis and emergency services to students in very high distress (e.g., having a panic attack, recently experienced sexual violence, feeling at risk for harming self or others). If you are in such a situation, come to the main office of the SCC at 474 UMSU University Centre or the Student Services at Bannatyne Campus office during our regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Student Support Case Management

Student Support Case Management is also available to assist students who are experiencing a difficult situation or are feeling unsafe. Social workers from the Case Management team are available to provide support, safety planning and connection with resources on and off campus. Please contact our office at 520 UMSU University Centre to make an appointment during our regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Sexual violence support

If you have experienced any form of sexual violence, know it is not your fault. You are not alone and there are many supports available and people who can help you.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call campus security (555 from a campus phone) or 911.

For immediate sexual violence support 24 hours per day, seven days per week, call the Klinic Sexual Assault Crisis Line at 1-888-292-7565.
