REVISED BEd SCHEDULE
A revised Bachelor of Education schedule is available. Click here to review the calendar.
Will we have a winter holiday or a spring break?
Yes. BEd students will have both a winter holiday (Dec. 23, 2016-Jan. 2, 2017) inclusive) and the Manitoba school spring break (March 27-31).

WINTER TERM
Do I have to be here the first week in January?
Yes. Classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 3 as initially scheduled.
I have only one course left and am planning to graduate in February.  Will my graduation be delayed?
Graduation dates are under the control of the Registrar’s Office and they are considering adjusting the deadline dates to accommodate February graduates. Keep posted for more information.
If there is a delay in graduation dates, does that affect the teacher certification process?
Assuming our revised calendar is approved, there will be no delay in either graduation or certification for final-year students expecting to graduate in spring 2017.
What is going to happen with EdCon? Will it still go on as planned?
Yes. EdCon is still scheduled for Feb. 21 and 22, 2017.

FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
In recognition of the possibility that students may have been delayed in defending theses or completing degree requirements as a result of the UMFA strike, two winter graduation deadlines have been put into place.

For students who complete all degree requirements by the original date of Jan. 4, 2017:
These students will be presented for approval for graduation at the Senate meeting of Feb. 1, 2017.  For these students, Jan. 4, 2017, is the last date for receipt by Graduate Studies of Theses/Practica and reports on Theses/Practica, comprehensive examinations, and project reports from students (it is the student’s responsibility to ensure these requirements are met), and lists of potential graduands from departments.

For students who complete all degree requirements by Feb. 6, 2017:
These students will be presented for approval for graduation in late February or early March 2017.  For these students, Feb. 6, 2017, is the last date for receipt by Graduate Studies of Theses/Practica and reports on Theses/Practica, comprehensive examinations, and project reports from students (it is the student’s responsibility to ensure these requirements are met), and lists of potential graduands from departments.

Students who meet either the Jan. 4, 2017, or Feb. 6, 2017, deadline dates for graduation will not be required to register for the winter term.
