How to prepare to meet an advisor

  1. Try to do as much research as you can on your own by first reviewing the Academic Calendar & Catalog and by reviewing the Faculty of Education website.

  2. Obtain copies of all of your academic transcripts and have them on hand for reference. You may obtain official copies of your University of Manitoba transcripts from the Registrar’s Office, or view your program history on Aurora Student.

  3. Write out all of your questions beforehand and bring them with you.

  4. Try to give the advisor as much information as possible regarding your situation. All visits are confidential.
