High School Students/Entrance Awards

The University of Manitoba offers an exciting array of scholarships and awards to recognize the achievements of recent high school graduates and to assist in financing their post-secondary studies at the UM. In the 2015/16 academic session, 1300 students received entrance scholarships totaling more than $2 million.

All Canadian high school students with a minimum 85% average from the list of eligible high school courses are considered for a wide range of entrance scholarships and awards. Except for the Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships, students are automatically considered for all of our entrance scholarships based on their admission application and submitted transcripts.

Entrance scholarship offers will continue to be mailed out to students’ home addresses for the 2016/17 academic session.

Most of the entrance scholarships listed previously are given for demonstrated academic excellence in the final or penultimate year of high school. Others recognize early applicants with high standing in both Senior 3 and Senior 4, or individual achievement in the International Baccalaureate Diploma or Advanced Placement exams.
