Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)

Note: Researchers must follow their unit’s new electronic grant submission process.

All grant applications must be accompanied by a Funding Application Approval Form (FAAF) and must follow the ORS deadlines as posted in the ORS Funding Opportunities Database.

As a reminder, for larger, complex grant applications such as project grants, the ORS deadline is 10 working days in advance of the CIHR deadline.

For other regular and/or one-time, smaller grants, such as planning and dissemination, the ORS deadline is 5 working days in advance of CIHR deadline.

If the funding opportunity is not posted in the ORS Funding Opportunities Database the default requirement is 3 working days in advance of the agency deadline.
