Occasional graduate student admission requirements
An occasional student is a student choosing to take graduate courses with no intention of proceeding towards an advanced degree at the University of Manitoba.
Occasional student status is not advised for international students due to study permit limitations. If you are an international student interested in becoming an occasional student, please contact us at graduate.admissions@umanitoba.ca.
Program fees
Graduate students in the Occasional Studies program are assessed the per credit hour course rate of the teaching unit for those courses take as occasional.
Admissions requirements
- Honours or four-year bachelor's degree
- Application fee: $100 Canadian (non-refundable)
- Instructor permission to register in course(s) - this may come in the form of an email from the instructor(s)
All applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
An acceptable English Language Proficiency test score is required, if applicable.
