About DDSS


The Dental Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences (DDSS) department is here to provide a positive educational environment in the diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical sciences, and to undertake scholarship and community service in dentistry to contribute to optimal health for the community.

DDSS is organized into the disciplines of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Diagnosis, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Periodontology, Hospital Dentistry and Medicine.

Involved in both undergraduate and graduate studies, DDSS offers specialized courses of study, including graduate residency programs leading to a Masters in Dentistry (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) and a Masters in Dentistry (Periodontics). We also offer Dental Internships at the adjacent Health Sciences Centre (Winnipeg).
