This is information regarding how course levels (1000-8000) have been restricted to Faculty of Graduate Studies Students.

When advising or assisting with graduate student registration please be aware of the following Course Level Restrictions in Aurora.

      Master's and Ph.D. students will have access to 3000 / 4000 / 5000 / 6000 / 7000 / 8000 level courses.

      (NOTE: Master's and Ph.D. students are not permitted to register for 1000 / 2000 level courses as part of their program.)

      Pre-Master’s (PM) Students will have access to 3000 / 4000 / 5000 / 6000 level courses.

Due to the Aurora system PM students are restricted from registering for 1000/2000 level courses.  Therefore if a PM student requires registration in a 10000/2000 level course a    block will have to be lifted by appropriate Department staff to allow PM students to register for 1000/2000 level courses.

      (NOTE:  PM students are not permitted to register for 7000/8000 level courses.)

Please be attentive and sensitive to the fact that it is very important to lift only those blocks you have been given "permission" to lift.
