The Department of Plant Science :

  • Educates undergraduate and graduate students in basic plant sciences and applied crop production.

  • Maintains an active research program directed at developing superior cultivars and new production systems suited to the changing needs of Manitoba farmers and the agri-food industry.

  • Has large laboratory, greenhouse and field facilities for training students and conducting research.
