CHARACTER OF THE JOB
Positions at this level establish the computer schedules to effect the required processing for client systems, including the preparation of job control statements required to specify the processing to be done, coordinating the preparation of the input data required, preparing instructions for the computer operators.
Initial diagnosis of error conditions are performed, corrective action is initiated when processes fail or terminate abnormally. Responsible for the daily setup and verification of mission critical applications such as cheques and optical scoring exams. Position is responsible for ensuring up-to date copies of files containing critical data are available for all administrative application systems utilizing Information Services & Technology.
Post secondary education with job related options.
Two to three years in data processing environment preferably in a data/quality control function.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
