Paper Format and Submission Requirements

Authors are requested to adhere to the following specifications for their papers

  • 6 pages maximum, 4 pages minimum.
  • In general, follow the format of Combustion and Flame (i.e. for heading and paragraph format and referencing), except use a single column format.
  • Margins must be 1 inch on top, bottom, and both sides.
  • Text must be single spaced.
  • Do not include page numbers.
  • Font for body text: Times Roman 10 point.
  • Title font: Times Roman 16 point.
  • Figures must be numbered sequentially and include a caption below the figure.
  • Author information must be provided with submission: Name, Organization, Address, fax and e-mail address of corresponding author.

Submit your paper electronically by Friday, 1 April, 2011. Please indicate "CI/CS 2011 Conference Paper" in the Subject line. The paper should be submitted as a PDF file.

Please inform us in your e-mail whether the presenter of the paper is a student and therefore qualifies for an honorarium.

Please also note the long-standing policy of the Canadian Section of the Combustion Institute: No Paper = No Podium. Each paper must be presented by one of the authors.

Each presentation room will be equipped with an LCD projector, and laptop computer. You may wish to bring your own laptop if your presentation relies on features unique to your machine. Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes per speaker (15 minutes for presentation plus 5 minutes for questions).
