Indigenous applicants to the I.H. Asper School of are eligible to apply under the Canadian Indigenous Ancestry Category, which offers another pathway to success. Building upon the University of Manitoba’s Pathways to Indigenous Achievement, the Asper School of Business annually admits up to ten Canadian Indigenous students (First Nations, Metis, and Inuit) who meet the minimum entry requirements under Track 1
or Track 2
and Direct Entry
, but may not meet the competitive entry requirements (which varies from year to year).
Student MUST indicate they are applying under the Canadian Indigenous Ancestry Category in the appropriate section on the I.H. Asper School of Business Admission application form to be considered under this category.
Application deadlines (annually)
- Direct Entry (High school applicants) - March 1
- Track 1 and Track 2 (Advanced Entry) - March 15
The Canadian Indigenous Ancestry Category is an admissions category for the Asper School of Business; it is not a program.
All applicants admitted under this category are required to register with IBEP for a period of at least two academic terms following admission.
