IBEP is excited to receive applications for our prestigious Scholarship in Indigenous Business Education, which is a renewable award of $15,000 per year. As a renewable award, the recipient will continue to receive this scholarship, provided that they meet the terms for renewal, which are to maintain a degree GPA of 3.00, and registered in a minimum of 18 credit hours over the regular academic session, and to maintain membership in IBEP.
This scholarship is intended to support most of the academic and room and board expenses incurred during the regular academic session. As such, it is ideally-suited for students who relocate to Winnipeg to pursue their business education at the I.H. Asper School of Business. However, we welcome applications from all qualified applicants. In order to be eligible to receive this award, applicants must be a student registered in the I.H. Asper School of Business.
The runner-up to the Scholarship in Indigenous Business Education award will be selected to receive a $5,000 scholarship, with the possibility for renewal in the recipient’s second year of study (total award value of $10,000). Award renewal is subject to the recipient’s maintenance of a degree GPA of 3.00, registration in a minimum 18 credit hours over the regular academic session, and to maintain membership in IBEP.
Students not currently enrolled at the I.H. Asper School of Business may apply for admission via our Direct Entry (from high school), or Advanced Entry (based on a minimum 24 credit hours of university degree completion), or through our Joint Degree Programs with Manitoba Colleges. Application deadlines for admission are March 01, 2020 (Direct Entry) and March 15, 2020 (Advanced Entry and Joint Programs).
Application forms can be found here. Interested applicants for both the scholarship and I.H. Asper School of Business are strongly encouraged to contact IBEP well in advance of the Admission application deadlines to ensure their application materials are complete.
