Community Connections
As an Asper student, you have direct access to some of Manitoba’s most dynamic and influential business leaders through the Associates and Young Associates, the province’s premier business networks. Inside and outside the classroom, they share knowledge and experience that enables you to identify and solve complex business challenges. They offer networking opportunities you’ll find nowhere else. And they come to us first when they’re looking to hire.

Attend the International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award (I.D.E.A.) Dinner

A premier event in the Canadian business world hosted by the Associates, this annual award honours individuals who’ve achieved international stature and outstanding entrepreneurial success and made exemplary contributions to the economic life of Canada and the world. We’re talking big-league names like Sir. Richard Branson, Martha Stewart, Jim Sinegal (co-founder and CEO of Costco), and Stu Clark (2012 recipient).

Forge incredible connections before the first day of classes

Every year, the Associates host the Bachelor of Commerce Business Luncheon for students entering their first year at the Asper School. The luncheon is an incredible opportunity to meet your classmates, professors, and some of the province's leading business leaders. The guest speakers come from across Canada to inspire you with personal and professional insights you'll gain nowhere else.
