As a student enrolled in the Engineering Access Program you will have opportunities to meet various employers throughout the year at Lunch Presentations offered in the ENGAP student lounge. A few organizations that visited ENGAP recently were Manitoba Hydro, StandardAero, Manitoba Aerospace, Boeing, Stantec, PotashCorp, PCL, Lafarge and Shell Canada to name a few. There is a lot of recruitment for Indigenous students for either summer work or full-time employment upon graduation.
The University of Manitoba has a great employment resource called Career Services. As a student, you may easily create an account where you can login to explore a large data base of student job postings. Go to the Career Services website at http://umanitoba.ca/student/careerservices/index.html and click on the box labeled Career Connect. Call 204 - 474 - 9456 to get help at the Career Services main desk. Career Services also offers on-line help creating cover letters and resumes.
The ENGAP counsellor also offers help in writing cover letters and resumes. ENGAP does not guarantee any student summer or graduate employment but we will help you as best we can.
