Welcome to the UNEVOC-Canada web site at the University
of Manitoba in Winnipeg. UNEVOC-Canada is the Canadian centre for the
UNESCO's International Project on Technical and Vocational Education
(UNEVOC) which currently includes 111 countries. Its mission is to
develop and improve technical and vocational education (TVE) through
research, scholarship, information exchange, networking and international
collaboration. The Centre will also play an advocacy role for TVE and
will provide opportunities for Canadians to achieve leadership in the
field both nationally and internationally. The UNEVOC-Canada membership
includes key stakeholders from business and industry, public school
systems, community colleges, universities, government agencies and
non-profit organisations.
The Faculty of Education, University of Manitoba is
proud to be home to UNEVOC-Canada. I join Professor Chris Chinien,
Director of UNEVOC-Canada, in a call inviting all Canadians involved in
TVE to participate in the activities of the network and to wish you well
in this international effort dedicated to improving the human conditions,
especially among our most needy partners from developing countries.
Enjoy your journey through the UNEVOC-Canada web site
and I hope that you will find all the information you need as well as
interesting others to develop beneficial and long-lasting linkages.
