University of Manitoba - Faculty of Engineering - Electrical & Computer Engineering - Group Design Project
Group Design Project

The ECE 4600 Group Design Project is normally undertaken by students in the final year of their Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering program. The project work constitutes a significant design experience based on the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their undergraduate program and gives students an exposure to the concepts of engineering design in a team environment. Students are required to demonstrate, within a fixed time period, the ability to organize, conduct and report on an original study of an electrical/computer-engineering project. The requirements consists of five parts: a project proposal, the engineering record, written and oral progress reports, a formal engineering report, and an oral presentation.

Questions regarding the administrative aspects of the course should be directed to the course coordinator. Each group project must have an ECE faculty member as their technical supervisor. It is the responsibility of the group to schedule meetings with their supervisor.
