The project has four components:

1) An applied, interdisciplinary Masters in Resource and Environmental Management (MREM) program at NSU, emphasizing gender equality and equity.

2) A Professional Certificate program in Environmental Governance (at BRAC University), jointly offered by BRAC University and NSU.

3) Rural livelihood improvement in one wetland area (Hakaloki haor, the largest wetland in northwest Bangladesh) and one river reach (Bhetki River in southcentral Bangladesh) through green micro-enterprise development, supported by CNRS-administered, ongoing micro-credit programs to women’s Savings Groups, and

4) Local and national-level Environmental Governance networks of stakeholders.
