Digital Archives
Archives & Special Collections has digitized tens of thousands of items from the many collections in its holdings.  Digitizing these records means users can access archival material any time of day, any day of the week, from any internet location.  The following digital collections range in scope from the entirety of certain collections, to portions of others, to thematic exhibitions featuring digitized samples of several collections.  Please remember that although there is a large portion of archival material available on-line, this is but a fraction of the volume of the Archives' holdings.  If you can not find the resource you desire on-line, please contact the Archives or visit us in person.

Make sure you check out the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections' channel on YouTube, UMA-TV. Here is where you will find digitized versions of video and film held in the Archives, as well as informative and interesting original content pertaining to the Archives and its records.  Subscribe to the channel and receive updates when new material is posted on-line.  And don't forget the What the Fonds? blog where you can find all kinds of funny, interesting, or cool stuff from our holdings.

We have also included a selection of photographs on the new website HistoryPin.  HistoryPin allows you to overlay historic photographs on top of Google Streetview, allowing you to juxtapose the past with the present.  Check out our collection here: My Photos on HistoryPin.
