Undergraduate Program

"Tell me and I forget.Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

Dr. Jenna McNaught
Director, UGME
I am Dr. Jenna McNaught and I have been the clerkship director for the UGME program since 2008.  I am an Obstetrician Gynecologist at the Women's hospital.  I am a graduate of the University of Toronto medical school: trained in Winnipeg for my OB/GYN residency, and completed an additional year of training in contraception and pediatric/adolescent gynecology at Queens University.  Our clerkship offers formally resident-run teaching; academic half days, and many opportunities for students to apply what they have learned to the care of women in the ER, OR, labour floor and in clinics.  Our students are valued as an important part of the patient-care team, while they lack clinical experience, they bring several other important qualities to the table.  They offer current basic science knowledge, they provide a valuable different perspective, and they approach clinical learning with curiosity. The best part of my job is seeing students learn about this exciting specialty, as well as watching them become physicians in whatever specialty they ultimately choose.

I am Dr. Devon Ambrose, an Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Associate Director of the UGME program.  Since 2012 I have had the privilege of supervising students completing their OBGYN rotation at St. Boniface Hospital.  I am proud of the program that we provide which encourages hands-on learning and the clinical involvement of our medical students.  I look forward to being part of your educational experience and working with you in the future.
