Responsibilities

I am the technician for the MPRI. Our research focuses on chemical characterization of oil and oil spills using state of the art analytical instruments housed at the PETRL and UCTEL laboratories, such as by gas or liquid chromatographs and mass spectrometers. My responsibilities include sample receiving and chain of custody, sample control, sample extraction and analysis, and data interpretation and reporting. I am also involved with establishing new methods and ensuring QA/QC protocols along with appropriate SOPs are in place for data analysis that will contribute to MPRI projects.
