I am an international student from Nigeria. I got into the Faculty of Architecture in the year 2014 September. I am an Interior Design student, passionate about architecture and design . I am a friendly person willing to learn about other people’s culture, ethnicity and ideas. I am a determined person and one thing I have learnt within the years I have spent in the faculty is that failure does not define your worth as a designer, but it pushes you to go beyond the limit.

Grinding coffee beans to a pulp. Elegantly sipping from a coffee stained mug. His name is Thomas Dew-Jones and you will find him on the third floor of the John A. Russell building, immersed in studio environment affects. You can contact him by waltzing over to his studio desk, in the fourth year studio of Interior Environments, and forming your enquiry. He might be Sketching by Hand. He might be rendering in Revit. But unless he is writing, feel free to obstruct his activity.

Program: Environmental Design
Option: Architecture
Year in Program: ED3
veismand@myumanitoba.ca
Dana Veisman is a 4th year Environmental Design student in the Architecture stream. She chose the studies out of love for drawing, painting, art history, literature and physics, realizing within the program that the interdisciplinary nature of architecture is even more diverse. Social considerations in architecture such as “public interest design,” housing, and healthy communities are a growing interest she pursues through research and volunteering within and outside the university. She notes Habitat for Humanity, Studio Central, and Architects Without Borders as great frameworks for learning about ways to empower local and global communities.
