Carl R. Nelson Travelling Fellowship in Landscape Architecture
Terms of Reference

In honour of Professor Emeritus Carl R. Nelson Jr. and his career-long contributions to the Department of Landscape Architecture, his colleagues, friends, family, graduates and students have established an endowment fund to support a travelling fellowship in the Department of Landscape Architecture. The available annual income from this fund is to support one or more travelling fellowships in the Department of Landscape Architecture.

The fellowship shall be offered to graduate students who:

• are enrolled as full-time students in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in the Master’s program in the Department of Landscape Architecture

• have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on all courses completed in the Department of Landscape Architecture

To be considered for the fellowship, applicants must submit a maximum 500 word statement outlining their travel intent.

The selection committee shall be named by the Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and will normally be comprised of the full time staff of the Department, and one representative of the Nelson family.
