Portfolio and biography

Ahniin. Bonjour. Hello. I am thrilled to welcome you on behalf of the entire Student Affairs team. The University of Manitoba is a special place. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, dynamic learning environment where every student can achieve your personal and academic potential. Throughout your time here, we encourage you to take advantage of the many programs and services designed to support you in pursuing your learning goals and career aspirations. If, during your academic journey, you encounter hurdles along the way, and have concerns or issues that cannot be resolved, I encourage you to contact my office.

As the Vice-Provost (Students), I oversee all of the programs and services offered by the following:

  • Enrolment Services
  • Registrar’s Office
  • Student Engagement & Success
  • Student Support

I also work very closely with my colleagues in Migizii Agamik (the Indigenous Student Centre and Indigenous Achievement), the International Centre, student governments, clubs and associations, and those academic and administrative units that directly impact your life as a student on all of our campuses. I report directly to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), which ensures that all matters concerning the student experience at the University of Manitoba receive attention at the most senior level.

In Student Affairs we believe that powerful learning occurs both inside and outside the lecture hall, lab, studio, seminar room, and practice spaces. We are here to support you in optimizing your learning experiences so you develop the knowledge, skills and abilities vital to success in life and work beyond your time here. Welcome to the Bison family.
