Are you a current University of Manitoba student looking to get involved with campus events, gain leadership experience and take part in an exciting opportunity? The University of Manitoba is seeking volunteers to assist with New Student Orientation 2018. Volunteers will work with incoming students, accompanying them to orientation events and activities and introducing them to the University of Manitoba student experience.

In addition to earning valuable new skills and volunteer experience, volunteers will receive a free lunch and an opportunity to make a great first impression for many new students!
HOW TO SIGN UP:
All students who volunteer at New Student Orientation are required to be members of the University of Manitoba Volunteer Program (UMVP). As a UMVP member, you will earn volunteer service hours, which can be used to build your co-curricular record and earn recognition milestones.
If you are not already a member of UMVP, you must first sign up for the program and be accepted in order to volunteer at this event. Volunteers will be assigned a role at New Student Orientation once they are accepted into the UMVP program.

Students who are current UMVP members can sign up for New Student Orientation volunteer shifts by logging into UMCommunity LINK and accessing the UMVP 2018 Fall Orientation form.
All students who sign up to volunteer will be required to attend a mandatory training session and will have the option to attend additional training before the event, if desired.
