What inspires you?
I am inspired by the everyday strength, courage and generosity of people.

What is your advice to current indigenous university students and the 2014 Indigenous graduates of the University of Manitoba?
There are many kind and caring people at the university who are passionate about and committed to helping students achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. While I would encourage all students to talk to their professors, there are many unsung heroes at the UM. Some of my favorites are librarians and librarian assistants (thank you!!), student support and engagement staff such as the Aboriginal Student Center and Centre for Aboriginal Health Education teams, administrative assistants, student counselors, peer groups like UM Aboriginal Student Association, plus many more.

To make the most out of your university experience, gather friends, family and allies close to you. The best experiences are those we create in community.
