Interested in starting a business? Start on the right path! Nicole Fontaine, Liaison Officer at the World Trade Centre Winnipeg will empower you with knowledge about entrepreneurship and provide you with resources and available services on how to start a business in Manitoba.
Nicole Fontaine is a Liaison Officer at the World Trade Centre Winnipeg. Nicole has over 30 years of experience in the customer service and management fields. She owned and operated a family Child Care Centre for over 9 years and then coached non-profit organisations to set up their Early Learning and Child Care facilities in their communities.
Nicole studied at l'Université de Saint-Boniface, where she received her B.A in Arts, major in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Political Sciences. She also holds a Public Administration certificate from Red River College.

Communication and Conflict: Skills to Improve Your Interactions with Others in the Workplace Workshop

In this workshop you’ll learn specific strategies and skills to communicate and address conflict in a way that may be easier for others to hear without compromising the integrity of your message. You’ll also learn about conflict styles, nonverbal communication, and gain skills to address behaviours that get in the way of connecting and communicating with others, including the four behaviours that have been empirically shown to be most damaging to communicating and building positive relationships. Post-Graduation Work Permit Information Session

Attend this information session facilitated by Jacques Therrien, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), to learn about the Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility requirements and program criteria. Topics will include how to submit an application to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), required documents, creating an online MyCIC account, and potential benefits of obtaining Canadian work experience as the holder of a Post-Graduation Work Permit. Permanent Residence in Canada Information Session

Following the presentations there will be a question and answer period based on the content. The information session is for current UM students and recently graduated students (February & June 2019).
