Doll Face
forgive the red eye
how it appears in the mid nightmare
the haunting how it choked her in
I stop breathing handing favors out
jagged doll head wound
swinging blood

Nightmare
what I am afraid of
you write essays about
what I am afraid of
eyes refocusing
I keep the hall light on
in the dead of night
or in the middle of the dark dream

and with a kiss
nightmare

Red Bodice
eyes popping out
the memory I cannot grasp
the black sea washes over pale skin
then a red bodice tied so tightly
and oh the darkness
take me home
wrestling with the snake in my pants 2012
she labels the dark art in her artists apartment
dark, what they told me to be

Reconfiguration

in the dream your poetic words stenciled in black
your dangerous hair shaved off
I breathe in a political kind of chaos
that escapes
how blue clouds danced around her, choking
I see the doll I see Frankenstein
fear as it comes to life
you make a figurine out of King Kong
I am numbed by fear
do I fear the darkness I cannot remember
cheap attempt at salvation
bleed to death
