Lyndal Osborne

Friday July 12 to Friday October 11, 2013

The monumental and complex installation, Shoalwan: River through Fire, River of Ice (2003) inhabits the gallery and mystically transforms into meanders of discover, delight, and reflection.

Lyndal Osborne was born in Newcastle, Australia. Since 1971, Osborne has been based in Edmonton, and is a Professor Emeritus in Department of Art and Design, University of Alberta. Her installation work speaks of the forces of transformation within nature, as well as commenting upon pressing issues relating to the environment.
