Eleanor Bond: Workstation

January 4 - February 4, 1989

"The Work Station project began with a desire to understand and address issues of employment and unemployment, and the imager developed after research into these concerns. My resource material was varied; texts, economic reports, films, oral histories, first-hand information and journalists' reports. The basis of the work that developed is the consideration of current notions of work and productivity, and the failure of these social values and structures to accommodate changing social and economic realities. The two series are intended to present infomation and to propose situations that might be provacative." Eleanor Bond
