Dr. Ruby Grymonpre is a professor at the College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. Previous positions include interprofessional education coordinator for the University of Manitoba. She was actively involved in the Health Canada funded Accreditation of Interprofessional Health Education (AIPHE) projects, serving as the educator consultant and co-chair.

Dr. Grymonpre has been a steering committee member of the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC) since its inception in 2005, a co-chair to the CIHC evaluation subcommittee, and is currently appointed to the board of the CIHC. She represents the CIHC on the World Coordinating Committee (WCC) on interprofessional education and collaborative practice.

Most recently she has been appointed as a reference member to the “securing an interprofessional future for Australian health professional education and practice” project, vice-chair of the WCC, and serves as the project co-chair to the Canadian Patient Safety Institute Safety Competency Framework 2nd Edition, and a board member of the Manitoba Tobacco Reduction Alliance (MANTRA).

She has over 120 publications, over 90 invited presentations, and 71 poster presentations to her credit.

The receipt of a $1.1 million Health Canada grant for the project entitled: “Interprofessional Education in Geriatric Care” in 2005 marked a turning point in Dr. Grymonpre’s career.
