About UNEVOC Canada
Network Management
UNEVOC - Canada will be structured to create a synergy
between all of its partners, while maintaining quality and
accountability at all levels. A national committee will be established to
assist the Centre in focussing its activities. The Director of UNEVOC -
Canada will identify one regional representative from each province and
territory to serve as members of the national advisory committee. An
advisory Committee consisting of ten members representing the Canadian
Commission for UNESCO, researchers, private, public and nonprofit sector
interests will be appointed to oversee the establishment of the Centre.
The committee membership will be stratified to include representation
from the following interest groups: universities, community colleges,
secondary schools, apprenticeship training, workplace learning, Canada's
official languages: English and French, women, aboriginals, minorities,
and differentially abled individuals. Canadian dignitaries will be
invited to serve as Honorary Chairs for UNEVOC - Canada. If resources
permit Advisory Committee members will meet once a year. We will attempt
to design a virtual Board Room space on the Internet to conduct the
national advisory committee meetings. The network leaders will be responsible for
establishing the network schedules, budget, monitoring overall network
progress, as well as developing a plan for securing funding to ensure
network sustainability. UNEVOC - Canada will make extensive use of the
Internet and other means to link researchers and partners from secondary
schools, community colleges, universities, government agencies, business
and industry and nonprofit organizations, nationally and internationally. |
