Participatory Oat
Breeding Program

This program started in 2012 with 7 participants growing and selecting 21 populations on farms in Alberta and Manitoba. In 2014 there were 13 farmers growing 42 oat populations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Prince Edward Island.
