With the ultimate goal of building human resource and institutional capacity in Environmental Governance to sustain the natural resource base and the environment for improved livelihoods of the poor in Bangladesh, this project aims to enhance the human resource and institutional capacity in Environmental Governance at North South University (NSU) (Dhaka, Bangladesh) and its 2 NGO partners – BRAC and the Centre for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS) – in collaboration with village-based women’s Savings Groups, government agencies and the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Canada), in order to promote equitable access to, and sustainable management of, natural resources and the environment, as well as to enhance livelihoods security of the poor.
