Research interests

  • Use of large administrative databases to evaluate how medication use and chronic illness contributes to sleep disordered breathing
  • Evaluation of new technology for diagnosis of sleep disorders

Research summary

My research involves using large administrative databases to conduct epidemiological studies within the field of sleep medicine. I am primarily interested in how chronic illness, medication use and general patient characteristics influence sleep disordered breathing and sleep quality, and in turn, how sleep disorders influence general health and well-being. I am also interested in the evaluation of new technologies within the field of sleep medicine and how they can contribute to appropriate diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
