Dr. Mahar’s research aims to improve the health of Canadians particularly vulnerable to health inequity and focuses on cancer care disparities and intersections between cancer and mental health/addiction.

Dr. Mahar holds funding from CIHR and other funding agencies to complete studies in these areas.

Dr. Alyson Mahar is an assistant professor in community health sciences at the University of Manitoba.
