Governing Documents

The Governing Documents of the University of Manitoba include all Policies, Bylaws, Regulations and Procedures approved by the Board of Governors, Senate and the University Administration. The official versions of all of these documents are contained on the Office of the University Secretary's website and are updated continuously as changes are approved by the Approving Bodies.

Anyone who is beginning to develop a new Governing Document, or is planning to make revisions to an existing one, is required to complete a Governing Document Proposal Form and provide it to the Office of Legal Counsel for approval.

Any questions of a general nature, including guidance related to the development of, and the approval process for, Governing Documents may be referred to the Office of Legal Counsel at (204) 474-7843. Any questions regarding the specific application and administration of a Governing Document may be directed to the contact listed at the beginning of each Governing Document.
