Areas of Specialization:
Colonization/decolonization with particular emphasis on devolution of government social services to First Nations in areas such as child welfare, justice, education, etc. Issues related for First Nations women; Indigenous knowledge, research, and practice.  

Areas of Interest, Research, and Teaching:
Research interests include social policy and social work practice in areas related specifically to First Nations. Courses taught in the Faculty of Social Work include Human Behaviour and Social Work Practice; Aboriginal Peoples and Social Work Practice; Issues in Child Welfare; Aboriginal Child Welfare: Supervision, Administration and Management, and non-credit course, Professional Development. Faculty of Arts: Introduction to University; and Department of Native Studies undergraduate program: Aboriginal Women of Canada; and Graduate Program, Selected Topics: Issues related to Colonization and Decolonization.
