Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award

Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award

Call for Nominations: Closed

“Helen Mann combined a love of history with her concern for the social well-being of people into life-long study and activity in the field of social welfare.”

Fifty years after the establishment of the School/Faculty of Social Work, the 50th Anniversary Committee, supported by the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba, established an award fund in honour of Helen Mann. The award acknowledges her as a founder of the school, director and distinguished faculty member for 31 years, and recognizes the outstanding contribution she made to social work in Manitoba and Canada.

The Helen Mann 50th Anniversary Award is given out every year to a person or organization who or which has made an outstanding contribution to the Social Work profession and/or to the field of social work in general in the Province of Manitoba.

We invite all to nominate a person or organization for this award. The award will be presented to the recipient during Homecoming 2015 on October 1st at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain.
