Human research ethics and access applications

Overview

All research conducted at or under the auspices of the University of Manitoba must receive approval from a UM human research ethics board. College of Nursing principal investigators must seek approval from REB1 through the online Research Administration System.

Information about how to complete and submit an ethics application through the Research Administration System is available in your UMLearn account. For more information, email ras_support@umanitoba.ca and review UM's human research ethics page.

An MCNHR staff member is available to assist you in answering any questions you have about research ethics applications and to review a copy of your application before submission to the board to ensure it is complete and meets the requirements for approval.
