Helen Glass Centre for Nursing

Built in 1999 for the Pan Am Games, the 70,000 square-foot building was originally used as sleeping quarters for the athletes. When the games were over, the building was refurbished for the Faculty of Nursing and named in honour of Dr. Helen Glass.

The Helen Glass Centre for Nursing was dedicated by Princess Anne in July 1999 and officially opened on April 18, 2000. It features hospital and community simulation laboratories, distance education classrooms, computer labs and video-equipped assessment rooms. With a large atrium and plenty of natural light, the building offers a warm welcome to staff, students and visitors year round.
