Executives in Residence at the Asper School of Business provide students, faculty and members of the community with access to successful individuals who have proven track records in public and private business undertakings. Asper Executives are fully engaged in the business of the School making public presentations, giving lectures to students, and being available to faculty and students alike.

Jeff Strong


Executive in Residence at the Warren Centre for Actuarial Studies and Research

Jeff is a Corporate Actuary for Manitoba Blue Cross, responsible for corporate pricing and managing its underwriting department.

Since 2006, he has lectured the undergraduate course on Interest Theory at the Warren Centre. In his capacity as Executive in Residence, Strong serves as the U of M’s official liaison with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the main point of contact for the CIA University Accreditation Program. He also serves on the Actuarial Mathematics Advisory Board, where he helps raise the profile of the Warren Centre and advocate its actuarial program.

In addition, he is responsible for high school student recruitment, and marketing the Actuarial profession and the Centre to graduating students.
