The Entrepreneurship/Small Business major focuses on understanding the nature, problems, business environment, and opportunities that exist in the small business sector in Canada. For students selecting this major, the main focus of this major is on developing skills that are critical for entrepreneurship, however it covers a wide variety of topics, that are beneficial to all business people.
This major is concerned with identifying the key success requirements for entrepreneurship, exploring the range of alternatives for starting a small business, and defining the resources necessary to launch a successful new venture. The Department of Business Administration offers majors in diverse areas, including entrepreneurship/small business, human resource management, international business, and the management of organizations.
