Figley NeuroImaging Lab

Chase Figley (PhD)

The Figley NeuroImaging Lab is a recently established research group within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at The University of Manitoba. As the name implies, our research is focused on developing and applying advanced neuroimaging techniques to study brain structure and function in healthy individuals, as well as patients with various neurological disorders (particularly Multiple Sclerosis). We are affiliated with the Department of Radiology, Department of Physiology, and the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program.

Please feel free to explore the site to find out more about our lab members and our research…and if what we do sounds interesting, we are always looking for bright, motivated students to join the lab or participate in experiments.

Kornelsen Lab

Jennifer Kornelsen (PhD)

The Kornelsen Neuroimaging Lab is a research group within the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. A major research aim in our lab is to study psychological well-being and chronic pain. Using high-resolution anatomical, task-based functional MRI, and resting state functional MRI data, we aim to assess how psychological states, such as depression or anxiety, or chronic pain contribute to changes in the structure and function of the brain and spinal cord. We are affiliated with the Department of Radiology and Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Manitoba and the Neuroscience Research Program at the Health Sciences Centre, Kleysen Institute for Advanced Medicine. Please visit our website for more information. If you’re interested in joining the lab or participating in our ongoing research, please contact us!
