Clinical Focus

As a clinical geneticist, Dr. Frosk evaluates patients at risk for a variety of hereditary and non-hereditary genetic conditions. These conditions can affect any organ system and occur throughout life, therefore, he sees patients of all ages. In addition to providing diagnostic services for affected individuals Dr. Frosk sees their families for recurrence risk and reproductive counselling. He is also part of a multidisciplinary team seeing patients with inborn errors of metabolism that require ongoing treatment using diet manipulation or rare medications like enzyme replacement therapy. In the research lab he works on improving diagnostic methodologies for genetic conditions using high-throughput sequencing.
