Pediatrics Medical Education

The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health offers comprehensive Undergraduate (Clerkship) and Postgraduate (Residency) programs. The Department also offers fellowship programs in selected subspecialties, for more information, please contact the fellowship coordinator. The Department is also actively involved in the education of Physician Assistants, International Medical Graduates (IMG), and Nurse Practitioners.

Postgraduate applicants can also check the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) for more information on Pediatric Residency programs at Canadian universities, including the University of Manitoba. The CaRMS website also provides information on application procedures.

International medical graduates can also visit the Canadian Information Centre for International Medical Graduates (CICIMG) to learn more about application and immigration requirements for Canadian medical colleges. The CICIMG also provides links to qualification examinations which are required for international applicants to Postgraduate programs at the University of Manitoba.
