Graduate Program in Immunology
The Department of Immunology at the University of Manitoba offers research-intensive M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Immunology, with a strong emphasis on laboratory research and developing oral communication and presentation skills.  The program provides the experience suitable for research careers in biomedical science in the context of industry, government or academic laboratories. The Department has outstanding modern laboratory facilities equipped with cutting-edge instrumentation.

The Department hosts three Core Platforms including Flow Cytometry Core Platform, Lentiviral Vector Viral Particles Production Core Platform and Immunophenotyping Platforms.  Additional facilities support a wide range of important research techniques in molecular biology and genetics, biochemistry and cell biology of immune cells as well as animal models of disease.

Graduate students have numerous opportunities to undertake high-impact research in areas such as Allergy and Asthma, Cancer, Infectious diseases, Chronic inflammatory diseases, Transplantation & Cell Therapy, and Immune Cell Biology & Biotechnology.
