Dr. Ian Alexander

  • Provides leadership for the planning, organization and quality of medical care provided to patients
    Participates in the overall operations, ensuring the clinic is operated as an appropriate, effective, and efficient setting for teaching
  • Responsible for ensuring that the educational programming that occurs at the site conforms to the standards and policies set by the Director, Postgraduate Education and the Postgraduate Education Committee, meeting the requirements of The College of Family Physicians of Canada


Program Assistant

  • Program Assistant for the Rural Stream (Interlake Eastern/Selkirk)
  • Scheduling and monitoring of residents
  • During Family Medicine Block Time (FMBT), weekly scheduling of students and residents, as well as well as organization and scheduling of orientation and local educational activities/events for residents (e.g., RORPS, SOOs, In-Units, Academic Days, Journal Club, and PEARL exercises)
  • Maintains resident binders/files and tracks resident assessments and progress throughout the program
  • Provides information to residents, students, and preceptors on day-to-day educational and resident issues
