Mariette J. Chartier, RN, PhD, is a research scientist at MCHP and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. University of Manitoba. Her career extends from clinical nursing, mental health research, early childhood policy development, to population health. Her research interests are prevention and early intervention programs for children and their parents, mental health promotion, child abuse and neglect, perinatal health, health risk behaviours, and health of vulnerable populations. She has published in the area of anxiety disorders, child physical and sexual abuse, as well as prevention and intervention programs for children. Dr. Chartier is currently overseeing a Public Health Agency of Canada funded province-wide mental health promotion project for at-risk families in Manitoba.
