The Centre for the Advancement of Medicine (CAM) is a unit within the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Manitoba which promotes or undertakes:
Through the activities of its Fellows and Associates, CAM interacts with a variety of academic and other special units in the Faculty and University, and with other organizations involved in advancing higher education and research related to health in Canada and beyond. The Centre publishes periodic reports of its activities
Organization
CAM is a "centre without walls". Apart from a small secretariat, the CAM consists of "fellows" or "associates" who are affiliated with the CAM on an ad hoc basis to pursue special projects. Senior Fellows of CAM are distinguished scholars who have a continuing appointment in the Centre. They have special scholarly and developmental interests of their own but may, from time to time, provide advice and assistance in connection with special projects.
The Director of CAM is Dr. Arnold Naimark who is advised by a Council chaired by the Dean of Medicine.

Dr. Aubie Angel, Professor of Medicine, University of Manitoba
Dr. Nicholas Anthonisen, Dean Emeritus and Professor of Medicine, University of Manitoba
Dr. Henry G. Friesen, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of the University of Manitoba
Dr. John Wade, Dean Emeritus, University of Manitoba
